I think that we're all in our private traps, clamped in them, and none of us can ever get out. We scratch and, and claw, but only at the air, only at each other. And for all of it, we never budge an inch.

BACK is a video installation involving three main axis: cinema, observation field and exhibit space.
It is a site-specific installation in which the video was being projected on both the windows and the walls of a closed gallery, which allows voyeur-like observation from the outside.
With a direct reference to Psychosis, we can observe a naked woman hiding behind a curtain. This image is available to those of us standing behind her: we stand in the victim’s very own territory; the vulnerable side.
The suspense of the hand moving behind the curtain or the movement of its fabric makes us aware of the fact that there is something going on the other side, on the hidden space, inside the gallery. What is an exhibit space but a place where visual battles are held? In a subtle way, Alejandro Palomino describes exhibit space as a dangerous place, that of which we must walk away from not to be ripped apart... only by a glance.

Back’s sequence presents a green curtain in the foreground, which fully covers the installation therefore preventing the audience from watching what is going on inside the scene. In several occasions, a male character walks back and forth and his face and parts of his body can be partially seen; he seems nervous, this action is followed by the appearance of a woman who then disappears somewhere between the curtain and the window, secretively leaning her back on the glass suddenly coming into frame once again.
